In a solemn and heartfelt atmosphere, members of the Merchant of Light Special Science School Oba (MLSSS) 2002 set, fondly known as the Great Achievers, gathered to pay their final respects to their cherished former principal, Late Sir Israel Chima Orabasili (Ochiliozuo), affectionately called "Alagbo."
The burial rites, which took place between Thursday 24th and Sunday 27th April 2025 at Ufuma, Anambra State, witnessed a strong representation of the MLSSS Old Boys Association, particularly the 2002 Achievers set, alongside members of the 1999, 2000, and 2001 sets.
Leading the delegation was the 2002 set Public Relations Officer, Mr. Benedict Igwilo, popularly known as Oscar Kay, accompanied by his friends and fellow alumni. Together, they honored the memory of a man who was more than just a school principal — a father figure, mentor, and disciplinarian whose wisdom shaped countless lives.
Dressed in the colors of unity and respect, the Achievers set offered prayers, tributes, and a moving presentation that reflected their deep gratitude for Alagbo’s unwavering commitment to their growth and success. His values of discipline, excellence, and compassion were celebrated as a beacon that continues to guide the lives of his former students.
Late Sir Israel Chima Orabasili’s legacy remains indelible in the hearts of all who passed through his leadership at Merchant of Light Special Science School, Oba. The MLSSS02 Achievers and their fellow alumni vow to uphold the principles he instilled, honoring his memory with every stride they make in life.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
